Before the cleaners arrive, you must prepare your property. By following a few simple steps, you can help the cleaners ensure that the property is left in excellent condition, maximizing your chances of receiving your full deposit back.

Here’s how:

1.Pack personal belongings:

Clear all personal items and effects from the property, including clothing, toiletries, sports or hobby equipment, decorations, and any furniture you intend to take with you. Aim to leave the space as empty as possible to enable thorough cleaning.

2. Clear doorways and floors:

Make sure to clear any obstacles, such as furniture or boxes, to ensure easy access to areas that require cleaning. This simple step will significantly enhance the effectiveness of the cleaners time and effort.

3. Fridge and Freezer:

Please ensure that you turn off, empty these appliances and leave both doors open a full 24 hours prior to cleaning (leave a towel on ground outside freezer door to soak any melt water). It’s important to note that cleaners will not perform their duties if any food is left inside. This helps maintain a thorough and effective cleaning process - thank you!

4. Fragile Items:

To prevent damage during cleaning, make sure to store any vulnerable or fragile items safely.  Alternatively, notify the cleaners so they can exercise the necessary precautions.

5. Take out the rubbish:

Remove all rubbish, boxes, broken items from the property. Like personal effects, all rooms have to be as clear as possible to allow cleaners to do their jobs to the best of their ability.

6. Relocate pets:

To ensure the safety and well-being of your pets, we recommend keeping them in a secure location away from the cleaning area during service. Consider placing them outside in a safe environment or arranging for them to stay with a friend or neighbour. This precaution not only protects your pets but also allows us to work more efficiently and effectively. Thank you for your understanding!

7. Power and Water

Most importantly, please ensure that the property has functioning hot water, electricity, and appropriate lighting available throughout the duration of the clean.

8. Access to Property

The property must be readily accessible at all times, especially on arrival if you are not to be at home. If keys and / or codes, including alarm codes are provided to the Cleaners in advance of service, they must permit easy access without the need for any special efforts or skill.
